Pettit to have season-ending surgery
Nursing a shoulder ailment resulting from a baserunning mishap in the Dominican Republic in November, Chris Pettit learned on Tuesday that he will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum on March 16 and will be out for the season, requiring six to nine months of rehab.
